What is the Cowork VM and what runs on my machine?

Cowork runs inside a virtual machine on your computer. Think of it as a contained workspace where the AI operates, separate from your main desktop. It can see and interact with applications inside that VM, but the boundary between the VM and the rest of your machine is one of your key safety layers. We configure what crosses that boundary and what doesn't.
